Horace B. Fyfe died Monday, November 17, 1997 at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, NJ, after a long illness.

Born in 1918, he began publishing SF in 1940, when "Locked Out" appeared in Astounding. By 1967, he had published nearly 60 stories, many of them 'Bureau of Slick Tricks' tales, published between 1948-52, in Astounding. His novel, D-99 was set in the same universe.

Mr. Fyfe is survived by his wife, Sonya.
